Courses and Camps for Middle-School Students
Junior High Courses - Rising 7th-8th Grades

Students who are entering 7th or 8th grade are welcome to register for classes in our Junior High Courses. The Junior High Courses are taught by Ignatius educators and allow students a taste of a high school curriculum. Courses are offered for two hours a day for three weeks during Session 1 (June 10 - June 28) and during Session 2 (July 8 - July 26). Students are encouraged to register for two classes each Session in order to get the full Ignatius experience.

7th and 8th grade students are also welcome (and encouraged) to register for afternoon co-curricular and athletic camps that run each day from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.
Cost

This course offers students opportunities to learn about the important issues facing both the United States and the global community through examination of a wide variety of news sources, 互动课程, debates, 角色扮演模拟. These skills will help students succeed in high school, college, and beyond.

Mathematics

Podcasting
Podcasts have become enormously popular over the past decade. This course will explore the podcasting phenomenon and its many different genres, from the celebrity interview to the scary horror story. Students will produce short podcasts in three different formats: interview-style, 纪录片, 和entertainment-style. Students will engage with the full podcasting creative process, 从头脑风暴到写作, recording, editing, 添加音乐和特效, and sharing.

This course explores the history and pop culture of World War II and the movies from the 1930s to the present.
